Or Worse

We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear. We laugh to keep from weeping, we weep from laughing too hard. We hope that the one thing that is most sacred, most precious to us will not be taken away.  We fear that we will cease to be if it is. Or worse, we fear that we will not cease to be.
