Everywhere and Nowhere (1)

There is an old weather beaten bridge out there, sometimes at night I can see a glimpse of it through the fog.

It is the bridge to Everywhere and Nowhere.

It is the bridge found in the borderlands, that place where people walk one foot in life and one foot in death, one foot in sanity and the other in madness, one foot in what “may” be and one foot in “never” to be.

We all walk over that bridge, some of us more than others.

Some of us come back across, and some of us never return.

I don’t pretend to know if it’s real or imaginary, if it was built by man or built by the gods, if it is constant or fleeting.

It is simply a bridge, and bridges are made for crossing, even if it leads to Nowhere.
